3 Year Old Program

According to the R.I. Department of Education, the Rhode Island Early Learning Standards provide guidance to families, teachers and administrators on what children should know and be able to do as they enter kindergarten. They are intended to be inclusive of all children — English language learners, children with special health care needs, children with disabilities and children who are typically developing — recognizing that children may meet the Early Learning Standards at different times and in different ways.

Our preschool program takes an active and creative way to learning.  We also use two programs – Opening The World Of Learning (OWL) and Handwriting Without Tears (HWT).

The Early Childhood Program at Bishop McVinney School is a quality program, much more than just a day care facility for three and four-year-olds.  It is a program lead by experienced, well-trained teachers who give the children an opportunity to explore and challenge them to learn.  The program consists of age appropriate activities for the children and their approval is seen everyday on their smiling faces. -NEASC
